Youth Pastor is Scott Ayars:
Well this is me and my Wife (Robyn) and we have been pastoring together at the Church for almost 2 years. We graduated with degrees in Youth Ministry at Briercrest College and Seminary. We both love working with youth and challenging them in their relationship with Christ.
Youth Sponsors for Sr. Youth:
Sean & Janessa Phillip
Sean & Janessa have been serving as youth sponsors for over 3 years. They both have a passion for youth ministry, and really enjoy hanging out and having a good time at youth group. They are two of the most loyal, reliable, and hard working people i know, and bring a nice balance to our Sr. High Youth Group.
Junior High Youth
Junior High Youth (Grades 6-8) meet every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. for a time of Bible Teaching and fun activities. Check the weekly bulletin for current details.
Youth Sponsors for Jr. Youth:
Matt Hackney
Matt’s a new comer to youth sponsoring, but not a new comer to the church. Matt grew up going to youth group at the Church of the Open Bible, and after being a youth for so long and now an adult he figured he would transfer over to leadership this year. Matt attended one year at Briercrest College and Seminary to grow in his faith, and this year is attending Great Plains College here in Swift Current. He’s a blast to be around, and is a great addition to our Youth Leadership family.
Rachel attended the Sr. High Group last year but just graduated from High School this past summer. She has a passion to work with the girls in the Jr. High Youth Group, so it was an easy transition for her. Rachel has a heart of gold, and really cares for everyone, her strong faith is what sets her apart from most, and because of this it makes her a great fit to help develop the young girls that attend our church.
